The bareboat fleet of Southwest Florida Yachts has just grown by one: Dreamin', a Hunter 41 Deck Salon with two double cabins.  The cabins are separated at each end of the yacht, and each cabin has a private ensuite head with shower.  Need more room?  The dinette converts into a double.

Beautifully equipped from the in-mast furling mainsail to a 6kW generator, Dreamin' also features GPS and chart plotter, full air conditioning for cool nights, and a dinghy with outboard.  The yacht starts at $3192/week, and don't forget that Southwest Florida Yachts is offering a 10% Summer Discount through August and a 5% discount for charters of three days or more throughout 2015.  For info, www.swfyachts.com or call 800-262-7939.

The Moorings Commits To $50M Investment In New Boats!!

The Moorings says it plans to invest over $50 million in new sail and powerboats for their worldwide charter destinations.  The company will work with yacht builders Beneteau and Robertson & Caine to further evolve their custom monohulls, catamarans, and powercats.

The first of the new investments is the 433 powercat (see posting below), and the company has also recently introduced their 5.3 and 51.5 monohulls, their popular 514 power cat, and they have added boats to increase the presence of the flagship 5800 sailing catamaran, which is available as either a bareboat or with a crew of three with gourmet meals and all water toys included.

Moorings Debuts New 43' Powercat in BVIs

The Moorings will debut their newest power cat, the Moorings 433PC, at their flagship base in the British Virgin Islands in November.  As with their other powercats, the 433 is built by Robertson & Caine, and designed specifically for the charter market.

The new hull provides 27% more interior room than the earlier Moorings 393PC, and enjoys better performance as well as more efficient fuel consumption.  The BVI boats will be the three-stateroom version, with the starboard hull dedicated entirely to a master suite with a private head and shower forward, while the port hull will have two double cabins, each also ensuite with shower.

Other significant changes include a forward saloon door to the foredeck and to provide a breeze through the cabin at anchor, solar panels as well as a 9kW generator, and a stereo system with Bluetooth and USB connectivity.  The bridge will have a cushioned sunpad forward and a full outdoor kitchen with grill and wetbar.

"Time at sea is best enjoyed with others, so we focused on creating a yacht that really brings that social aspect of chartering to life," said Josie Tucci, GM of The Moorings.  The 433PC will debut at the Fort Lauderdale Boatshow in November, and a four stateroom version, the 434PC, will be available in Thailand in January 2016.

LeBoat Offers Great Deals For Barging Europe

Not all bareboat chartering is about islands and beaches and the ocean.  LeBoat, which is a sister brand to The Moorings and Sunsail, is all about barging the canals of Europe and they've got some great deals to hook you on this "other" bareboating.

Book one of their new Vision boats, which were designed specifically for LeBoat, and take 10% off any length vacation cruise from June through August.  The Visions are great boats, with four staterooms (each with its own head with shower), joystick steering, and a large upper deck for alfresco meals.

If you want to cruise in September (we think it's one of the best seasons), take 10% off for charters in Scotland, England's Thames, Ireland, and France-Alsace or Charente.

And, if you like to plan ahead, book any charter in 2016 by the end of August and deduct 15%.

Great offers, so don't miss out.  LeBoat, www.leboat.com, 800-734-5491.

Moorings Sail & Power Offers Free Sleep-Aboards!!

The Moorings (sail) and Moorings Power yachts in the British Virgins, St Lucia, Grenada, Bahamas and Belize are offering FREE sleep-aboards for bareboat charters starting by December 17, 2015.  You need to act promptly, because you have to book your charter by June 15 to take advantage of this offer.  The sleep-aboard makes your bareboat charter less expensive, because you don't have the cost of a hotel for the night before your charter starts.

Saving money is great, but sleeping aboard also gives you the chance to stow your provisions and get used to the boat before you take off the next day.  The Moorings will give you the chart briefing the night before, which expedites your departure the next morning so you get a full day of bareboating.  With a sleep-aboard, you'll probably depart the next day around 10:30, while non-sleep-aboards rarely get away before 3pm.  So book now and sleep well!

Contact The Moorings, 888-979-0131, www.moorings.com for both power and sail.
